An Individual Medical Coverage plan is designed for those lacking medical insurance through their employer or other group. Teaming with Assurant Health, a State Farm agent can provide you with individual medical coverage, a high deductible health plan, short-term coverage or a plan aimed at college students. All plans are written by the Time Insurance Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is not an affiliate of State Farm.
A State Farm agent also can help you obtain supplemental insurance for Medicare users as well as general supplemental medical insurance or to create a health savings account through State Farm Bank. A minimum deposit of $100 is required for a health savings account, which has no minimum balance fees. A health savings account draws interest compounded daily and credited monthly, and distributions for non-medical costs before age 65 are subject to federal income taxes and a 10 percent penalty. Distributions made after age 65 taxed as regular income.
